Practical training and networking for your career

Program Details:

Summary:

The Practical Sessions Training Program is designed to help students and recent graduates build the practical skills necessary to succeed in an investment analyst or associate role. Program participants will be trained on the tools, analyses, and workflows that they will be expected to own on the job. By the end of the Program, participants will have demonstrated their learned skills across real-world assignments that can be used as evidence of their qualifications for prospective employers. The Program will consist of weekly training sessions, alongside a guest speaker series featuring practitioners across the financial services and investment industries.

Structure:

The first cohort will consist of a small group that meets weekly with the program host. Admitted participants will receive live training and feedback on assignments. While we can only accept a limited number of applicants into the weekly cohort, anyone who submits an application will receive access to the training materials and recorded sessions. The guest speaker series and networking events will also be open to anyone who submits an application.

Timing:

The first cohort will begin in Spring 2024 and align to the academic semester. Applications for Cohort 1 close 10/31/2023 at 8:00 PM Eastern.

Eligibility:

Cohort 1 is open to FSU students and recent graduates. Applications are welcome across all grades and academic programs.
